ಕಾಡುಮನೆಯ ಗೋಡೆಯ ಮೇಲಿಟ್ಟ ಹಣತೆ ಸಣ್ಣದಾಗಿ ಆಗಿ ಆರುತ್ತಿದೆ.ಮನೆಯೊಳಗೆ ಅಮ್ಮ ,ಮಕ್ಕಳು, ಮೊಮ್ಮಕ್ಕಳು , ಮರಿಮಕ್ಕಳು ಮತ್ತೆ ಇನ್ನೂ ಯಾರ್ಯಾರೋ ಇದ್ದಾರಂತೆ ..ಜೀವ ಇರುವವರು,ಜೀವನ ನಡೆಸುವವರು ,ಜೀವ ನೀಡುವವರು.
ಮಕ್ಕಳ ಹಿಂಡು ಕೂಡಿಕೊಂಡು ಅಮ್ಮ ನಿಂತಿದ್ದಾಳೆ ಕನ್ನಡಿಯ ಎದುರು; ಮಲಗುವ ಮೊದಲೊಮ್ಮೆ ಮುಖ ನೋಡಿಕೊಂಡು ತಲೆ ಬಾಚಿ,ಬೈತಲೆ ತೆಗೆದು, ಕಣ್ಣಿಗೆ ಕಾಡಿಗೆ ಹಚ್ಚಲು . ಹಳೆ ಬೇರು ಹೊಸ ಚಿಗುರು ..ಎದುರಿಗೆ ಏನಿದೆಯೋ ಅದನ್ನೇ ತೋರಿಸುವೆ ಎನ್ನುವ ಹೆಮ್ಮೆಯ ಮಾಯಾದರ್ಪಣವೂ ಮೌನವಾಗಲಿದೆ ತುಸು ಹೊತ್ತಲ್ಲಿ. ಗಾಳಿ ಬೀಸಿದರೆ ಅಲೆ ಏಳಬಹುದಷ್ಟೇ.
ಬೆಳಕು ನೆರಳು ಎರಡೂ ಒಂದಾಗಿ ..ಕಪ್ಪಾಗಿ..ಕಗ್ಗತ್ತಾಲಾಗಿ ಕಾಡುಮನೆ ಮೈಮರೆಯಲು ಉಳಿದಿಲ್ಲ ಹೆಚ್ಚು ಹೊತ್ತು…. ಅಮ್ಮ ಹೇಳುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾಳೆ ಸಾಕು ಇನ್ನು ಮಲಗೋಣ.
Yogindra Maravanthe writes columns in Kannada web magazine called “Kendasampige”. Some of his articles have also been published in Kannada daily and weekly magazines such as Sudha, Prajavani and Udayavani. Yakshagana is also his interest. He has learnt northern style of yakshagana (Badagu Thittu) from a Yakshagana school in Bangalore and performed in some occasions. By profession he is an Aerospace Engineer working for Airbus in Bristol,United Kingdom. He is born in Maravanthe of Udupi district.
