Trust me , a long gap of not shooting landscape  and resulting  longing desire to shoot one  does produce some amazing results. Thanks to Arun of Darter.in and his friends Pratap and Niranj who took me on a lazy Sunday evening. I think it is only Bangalore’s weather which sometimes gets so lazy  in the monsoons but if you just head out to places like these there is drama happening everywhere . We saw heavy clouds, drizzling rain and a very bright sunshine in the couple of hours exploring around Savanadurga. Great place for a weekend hangout and do some landscape photography experiment !

This was my selection of the day among other due its dynamic nature. It was very windy , good enough to push my tripod with camera , but I hold the tripod down to get this result. My idea was to capture the wind and I think i succeeded here. This turned out be one of the most satisfied photos of 2014.

Canon 6D, 17-40 lens , f22,40mm,ISO100, ND filter

I tried my new ND16 filter ( yes , ND16, that’s what they called it )  which I got from ebay for just  500 Rs . I thought this might be a good chance to test the effect  before buying a quality ND. I was happy with the results of this dark filter though I did not liked the quality of the images below 30mm much. Also the color is bad which I guessed even before buying due to its cheap price. But I was not sure if I could use it for black and white pictures.

Here are the other pictures I shot in that day .
